When you talk to people on campus—whether it be students, faculty or staff—about their favorite part of being at Freed-Hardeman, one answer is overwhelmingly more popular than the rest: the people. To many of us, what makes Freed-Hardeman such a wonderful place to work or go to school is the relationships and connections we make while we’re here.
Because of that, we’ve developed several new ways to stay connected with Freed-Hardeman. Whether you’re on campus, studying in Belgium or New York or just visiting home for the weekend, you can stay connected with current events and news happening on campus right now.
With the use of tools like Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, you can always know what’s going on at FHU. You can become a fan of Freed-Hardeman on Facebook by going to www.fhu.edu/facebook, and you can subscribe to FHU’s YouTube channel at www.fhu.edu/youtube.
While Facebook and YouTube are nothing new to FHU, Twitter is a lesser-known network. Popular with many corporations, universities and just regular people like you and me, Twitter enables people to know what’s going on in the lives of those they care about at that very moment. With a Twitter account, you can engage in what the site calls “micro-blogging.” Basically, you have 140 characters to answer the question: What are you doing? (Think Facebook statuses, but better. And not in third person.) You can check out FHU’s Twitter at www.fhu.edu/twitter and you can sign up for an account of your own at www.twitter.com.
Of course you can not only connect with Freed-Hardeman through these networks, but you can also connect with fellow classmates and alumni of FHU. Technology has brought us a long way in the way we keep up with friends and family, and all of these social utilities can be used as a great source of networking and connecting.
No matter where you are, you can stay connected your university as we make the FHU experience more personal and full of ways to keep in touch. Connect with FHU today by clicking here: http://web.fhu.edu/stay+connected.
